Camerata NovNorte is a chamber orchestra composed of young string players, past and present students of the Escola Superior de Música e das Artes do Espectáculo (ESMAE) in Porto, to which are occasionally added few winds - when required by the program - in order to represent the potential of new generations of musicians from Northern Portugal.
In preparing the programs of the group value is the individual technical skills, placing them at the service of building the image noise and improving the musical expression, required by a specific ensemble of limited size.
Among the characteristic features of the group, we highlight the virtuosity - whether the choices of repertoire, either by the interpretative attitude - and the stylistic aspects of care.
Radu Ungureanu, the founder and conductor of the ensemble, PhD in Music at the University of Aveiro, is Assistant Concertmaster of the OSP - Casa da Música and violin Professor at ESMAE - Porto.
Formed a large part of members of the Camerata NovNorte.
The repertoire of Camerata NovNorte encompasses works from the Baroque period to the twentieth century, expressing openness to new works to debut.
